Product Care and Safety

Kravn Lane candles and fragrance products are designed to be long-lasting and safe for the duration of its life. We want to fill your space with a beautiful aromatic experience that inspires passion, creativity and relaxation. For the most effective way to do this, please follow our product care tips below.

 

Candle Care

  • When lighting your candle be sure to burn until wax melts across the entire surface of the vessel. This prevents tunneling and will create an even burn for the duration of your candle’s life. This can take up to 4 hours. If you do not have time to allow candle to burn completely to the edge of the vessel we recommend that you do not burn your candle until you have time to do so.
  • Do not burn your candle more than 4 hours at a time. This will prevent carbon build up on your wood wick.  
  • Trim the candle wick to 1/4 inch prior to each burn. This is very important in preventing the candle from producing very high flames, black smoke, and soot. Invest in a good pair of wick trimmers that will cut and remove the charred wick cleanly and evenly.
  • If soot forms on the inside of the vessel, extinguish the candle, wait for it to cool and harden, then wipe with a clean damp cloth. Trim wick to 1/4in and relight.
  • Please keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.
  • Always extinguish your candle with a quality wick snuffer. Do not blow out. Do not use lid. 
  • Extinguish your candle if it produces black smoke or if the flame becomes too high. These signs indicate that your wick needs to be trimmed. Let the candle cool and harden, trim the wick to 1/4in, and check for drafts before re-lighting. All candles will produce black smoke if you burn them long enough. Simply trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn to get rid of the smoke. Proper candle care ensures the candle is safe for the environment and makes it last longer.
  • Always store your candles in a cool, dark and dry place.  Avoid placing your candles in direct sunlight. This will diminish the scent of your candle over time.
  • Remove dust and fingerprints from your candle by gently rubbing the surface with a soft cloth. The cloth can be dry or slightly dampened with water. Wait to dry completely before lighting.
  • Kravn Lane candles are designed with self extinguishing wick clips, however, always leave at least ½ inch of wax at the bottom of the vessel. You can then use the remaining wax in a wax melt warmer until the fragrance has completely dispelled. Allow the remaining wax to cool and harden, then gently remove it from the vessel, and place it in a wax melt warmer. Done!
  • Always burn candle within sight.
  • Keep away from children, pets, and flammable objects.
  • Always burn on a stable heat resistant surface away from anything that can catch fire.

Wax Melt Brittle 

  • Do not pour wax melt brittle from pillow box into the wax melt warmer. Instead, remove wax brittle from packaging one at a time and place gently in the glass melting tray of the wax warmer.
  • Use only in tea light wax warmers or UL Listed electric wax warmers approved for wax melts.
  • Do Not melt on stove or in non-approved appliances.
  • Read and follow all instructions provided with your wax warmer prior to use.
  • Do not leave wax warmer unattended while in use.
  • Do NOT add water.
  • Do Not melt on stove or in non-approved appliances.
  • Use only in well ventilated areas away from flammable materials.
  • To extend the life of the fragrance, do not use your wax warmer for longer than 4 hours at a time.
  • To change fragrances, switch off the electric wax melt warmer and allow the wax to cool and harden. Once the wax brittle has hardened, remove it using gentle pressure and place it back in pillow box.
  • Reuse wax melt brittle until all fragrance has diminished.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Air & Linen Spray

  • Before using on linens and fabric, test a small area of fabric before applying. Hold bottle 8" - 12" above the designated area and apply evenly until area is slightly damp.
  • Not recommended for use on leather or leather like surfaces.
  • Not intended for human or animal consumption.
  • Although the ingredients used in Kravn Lane air & linen spray are skin and body safe this spray was not intended to be used as a perfume, cologne, or body spray.
  • Use only as intended.
  • Safe to use around pets.
  • Not intended for use ON pets.
  • CAUTION: Eye irritant. If product comes in contact with your eyes, flush thoroughly with water as needed.
